Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all my lovely friends, family and readers :D Hey, I'll even wish my enemies a Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone truly gets an awesome Christmas with lots of love and presents. (lol I can't wait!)

2016 will be a year where I grow as a person. And as a mother and as a wife :)

I will love more, and I will lead a healthier lifestyle. I will work hard, and I will also loose my job in July. I'll get a new job, work hard again. I have to jobs already. I'm pretty safe :) I get paid more than most so I should definitely not complain. Next on our list is a savings account :3

I want to experience new things 2016 too. And I'd be very happy if I could travel with Frost and see stuff.

Moving on. Got one final gift to wrap now and then it's all good. Tomorrow at 9am it's Christmas breakfast at my sisters house and then the day will start :D woho!

All the shit in the world

Soooo I was feeling a little crappy due to the fact that I don't have any painkillers.
Gotta love the fucking shitsociety and their rules. It doesn't matter that I HAVE my medicine there, at the pharmacy. I've got my prescription and bla bla... But a timer was set when I only took out one package instead of two. So I got fucked there. Riiight in the butthole. Aaah why didn't I take out two?!

So I'm going through a whole lot of pain right now. Which sucks. Plus it's autumn which makes me sicker. The cold ain't good for me. My wrists are hurting so bad I drop things sometimes, my back is cramping like crazy, I'm stiff and in pain all over. Plus my kneecaps are hurting insanely much for some reason? Like the outside of the kneecaps... weird huh? I'm ridiculously weak too. (Yes I am nervous as fuck about going back to work) I hate this.

I told Frost that if this gets worse, like how I was before I got help... I don't think I can handle that pain again. Not again...I don't want to. It was too extreme.

If this wasn't enough to make my life feel shitty, I just found out that I work the whole Christmas weekend. I work the entire Christmas eve, till Christmas day. 27 hour shift. It's insane.

I don't even get to see my family one bit on Christmas. *heartbroken*

No one wants to switch with me either, (can't blame them, it's christmas after all) but it's still one and a half months away... so maybe something will change? I absolutely love Christmas you know?

I can't imagine not celebrating it.

Mega-pain from hell, and a lonely Christmas where I don't even get to see Freya's sparkly smiley face. (Though we celebrate it the 25th here at home so Frost feels like it's home) And we others celebrate it on the 24th. On the 24th we're supposed to get dressed up and be pretty and Freya's gonna be supercute and then we go to mom and Lasse, eat dinner and then open gifts. (And the breakfast is at Josse's house this year as well) WOOHOO! Thoguh that doesn't matter since I DON'T EVEN GET TO BE THERE.

So, tell me that that ain't some shit. Go ahead. Tell me how awesome things will be anyway. -_-

MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS!!!!

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiih! it's christmas eve!
It's Christmas eve!!!

We had our annual Christmas breakfast with rice grain porridge at my sisters house :) Robin made delicious Christmas ham sandwiches. Mmmm.... Nom. And the porridge was tasty as always. Yum ;D
Frost isn't used to all this Christmas celebrations we have, (He's used to spending it kinda alone) but he's part of our family too now and so he's with us celebrating and shit (even if he's somewhat reluctant to do so lol)
I LOVE Christmas! And I'll be damned if something gets in the way of my Christmas spirit that's overflowing and bubbling :D hahaha

Tomorrow is the 25th, so we're spending that all by ourselves. It's Frost's Christmas day :)

This is my absolute favorite Christmas song that I play aaaaall the time in the house during christmas time.
This, and obviously the old classic christmas sings. Duh.

Freya wishes everyone a Merry Christmas!

aaaaaaand since this little winterprincess puked all over herself, it's time for a Christmas bath in her little mini baby bathtub haha

Christmas time

 I'm ready!
I'm kinda satisfied anyway with the gifts I've bought for everyone.
I wish I could've gotten better gifts for Frost though, but I'll make it up to him next year ;)

Freya's been standing up a lot today.

Freya got gifts yesterday from Pawpaw Joe and Betty in Alabama :D
Some clothes, and a frame they've made themselves for Freya, and some bows for her so not fluffy hair lol She looked adorable don't ya think?

obviously THAT baby in that one fram ain't my baby lol

Merry Christmas

Ain't she cute?
Yeah, she had a hard time NOT playing with the Christmas presents..

We (Note I ) wanted to make a Christmas card or something with babypuff...
Easier said than done.

After a while of not giving a fuck she decided to start opening the gifts and I gave up. haha

Anyway, mom and Lasse dropped by with lussebullar and we had advents fika :D

The week in pictures

Well I've been kinda shitty at updating lately apparently. Ooops. My bad.
I've done stuff...and junk.

Let's do it with pics shall we?

Aaah yes, the tuesday. I played with Karin! :D Snurre Kurre. She got some free snuggles from Freya too. Frost was at SFI so after that I managed to go buy some other christmas gifts. That was nice.

But, I'm VERY upset. I ordered certain gifts (one for Frost) from CDON. And this was like two weeks ago, I PAID the bills I got (and since I was kinda broke I still bought the shit and decided to pay it off every month instead) Did and done.

BUT, here's the deal...only TWO gifts got here. 2. Two. Dos.  Due. Zwei. Två. два <---

Urgh... I've been able to buy some stuff in town WHEN I was given the chance to go there....But it's been easier to go to CDON and stuff like that now that Freya has been sickly.

SO WHERE'S THE OTHER SHIT?
Frost's gift could only be found at CDON too. Motherfuckingfuck.
So basically I have debts cause I wanted to buy christmas gifts to my family. Yet they didn't send me the shit.

Anyway, that was Tuesday. Fika with Karina and then Christmas shopping in town with Freya.

Wednesday, well you know.....Freya fell. -_- uuuh..let's not think about wednesday.

Now, on thursday there was some baby play and coffee sipping.
Yes, we do love our coffee
After the our company left, Freya took a wee nap before the peeeediatriciiiiaaaan..
Oooh. Scary.
Not really no..

(don't mind the pants, she too tall)
My squirrel stood on her own with out me!
I was holding her and snuggled her while waiting for the doctor. So I let her half sit on the sofa with me. But then she wanted to stand so I thought I'd do what we always do. I hold her and go 'wheee you so biiiiig and miiiighty'. But instead she brushed of my hands when she was up and stood there holding the sofa all on her own, watching the baby crap on the floor.

'hahahaaaaaaa you puny babies. I am a generous God' she said.

or I'd like to imagine she said that.

So, the doctor said we have a VERY tall baby. No shit?
I can't find ANY clothes that actually fit her. Pajamas's are too big but too short. Pants are just about right but they're too big in the waist them too.
If I get something that fit around her waist, the pants end at her knees. *le sigh*
We all know she can't go around with bare legs in the middle of the Scandinavian Winter.

Which btw is weird, there's no snow.
WHERE'S THE SNOW?

Merry Christmas

We finally got a Christmas tree yesterday!
I'm so freakin' happy! This is the first time that I have a REAL Christmas tree! I mean, I grew up always having real trees but when I left home I never actually bought a real one on my own, I had a plastic one.

But this is the first Christmas as a mother, I wanted something nice. :)

I went with the old school christmas tree this year. :)

Next year I AM buying a plastic tree. Not just any tree.
A gorgeous christmas tree (It's extremely expensive too...like over 3000SEK) It's worth it. It looks like  real tree. Like the PERFECT tree should look lol

I realized that christmas trees are probably getting rare.
We cut them down every year. Poor little trees.
So why not save 20 christmas trees by buying a pretty plastic one that'll last for 20 years! :D

Here's some. (I didn't put those for 5000SEK out...)

Alberta:

Calgary: (the cheapest of theeese, 1799SEK)

Wexter:

Halifax:

Ottowa:

And then finally the Toronto. With little pine cones in it.

I'd like to, if possible, buy one of these in the future :)

Friday!

And christmas is around the corner too!

So I've christmas decorated she shiiieeeet out of this apartment. Like BAM!
Everywhere! Woho!
Since I like it so much, I'll probably take a close up pic of stuff for ya to see later on lol

I finished the last of it today.
And then I obviously had to take a photo of Lei Lei and Freya.
Snugglepuffs. How cute are they??

Oh and I made kinda of a stew today.
I say 'kind of'' cause it was slightly different from what I usually make.
But it had a lot of veggies in it and meat. Yum^^
Aaaand after dinner I read a story to a grumpy baby.
Who absolutely LOVES it when I read stories to her
She wanted to be a big girl and help out changing the page. hah.
I can't wait till she's old enough to understand the stories I read.

This time it was Bonso, the mischievous Bear.
And after that it was 'Fables and tales'. I'll read those a lot to her when she grows up cause she'll actually learn something from them :)

She has her english fairytale book too that Frost can read to her :D

Merry Christmas

I really miss him. A lot.
It kinda feels like my heart is breaking a little. But I guess that's normal. I'll feel sad till I can be in his arms again.

Christmas is the time of year where you really want all of your loved ones together.
And this year it's a giant piece missing.

Merry Christmas honeypuff. I wish I could spend it with you. <3

Just you wait till I teach you all of our Christmas traditions baby :) haha

Rice grain porridge

Yay! It's Christmas eve! Wooooh!
I'm sitting on the kitchen sofa eating rice grain porridge. I'm gonna dress up Lei Lei soon <3 tehehe~

Aaaah it's a wee bit lonely eating rice grain porridge like this. But I guess it'll have to be this way till Frost gets here. <3

I haven't had a "family rice grain porridge morning" since I was in my early teens. But I've never let go of my traditions so I've always eaten this on Christmas eve even if I'm always alone on Christmas mornings. Lei Lei has kept me company on mornings for years now. Daaaaw... She be getting older aye? Haha
Some day Christmas mornings will be filled with laughter and anticipation again, from our little kids <3 And when my sister has kids we'll all try and have Christmas breakfast together. :) This is after all the season all kids love. I'ma make sure that our kids always enjoy their Christmases. Yus.

Oh As soon as I finish eating, me and Lei Lei will head out for a nice long walk and then when I get home I'll get ready for going over to mothers place :) YaY!

Christmas Eve

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! YAAAAY!
I just finished wrapping all the gifts now. Gaaah.... What a pain in the ASS some of them were haha but they're so pretty :)

They may not be expensive and junk but they come from my heart and I fucking wrapped them BEAUTIFULLY. Ask Frost. Tehehee~ he's the only one who's seen them :3

Well... I woke up to more snow... :)

I'm sorry if my updates aren't that big right now... But I don't feel happy being without Frost. It's hard. And I miss him so much....

I try being social though and I do occasionally have fun I promise :)

I'm off to mothers place for some coffee and then I'm heading to Stina.

The swedish santa

Right-o then.. I figured it's been a long time since I wrote anything about swedish/norse mythology and now is a good time to write about the swedish Santa (Tomte).  The "real" santa was actually from germany in the beginning (Saint Nicholaus)

In sweden, santa during christmas doesn't really have anything to do with religion. It comes from old beliefs that every farm and house has a Tomte/santa who took care of all the cattle and chores. We've believed in this little "santa" for hundred of hundreds of years. Tomten belonged to the same kind as gnomes, goblins and elves which is called väsen or oknytt.
And people were very superstitious,  it was said that if you didn't treat him well with gratitude he could get very offended and stop helping out at the farm. And even cause misfortune and bad luck. And he did not like to be joked with or being treated without respect. I guess for you guys our santa would be more like a Gnome to you? Well, anyway... He was very fair. Both to humans and animals. Overworking an animal or a farmworker could also bring you bad luck cause he would not take kindly to people who mistreated their workers and animals ya know? Apparently his favorite animal was the Horse and the ram. Which is also why sweden has christmas rams made out of wheat and red ribbons on it. And later on gingerbread pigs was highly appreciated by him :)

So therefor people always made sure to leave some food for him outside. Especially during christmas cause he'd walk through the snow with his christmas ram and work very hard. But in those days it was the people who gave HIM gifts as thanks for him working so hard. And people who saw him said that he was a very small being, like the height of a child with an old mans face, and very long grey beard (sometimes white) And he'd wear a red, grey or a green suit and often a red woolen cap (Or a pixie cap if you prefer that)

Well, since everyone wanted to show gratitude for him being the hard worker as he was they'd
leave out a plate of warm rice pudding (Actually it's more like Rice grain porridge) with cinnamon and sugar on top and milk for him to eat on christmas eve's morning (we celebrate christmas on the 24th)  And back in the old ages it was rice grain porridge with a bit of butter on it. And to eat it with they'd leave out a spoon made out of wood since Tomten hated metals. Hence, we eat Tomegröt (santariceporridge) during christmas in sweden.
See, my family left out a plate of porridge for him as well when I was a kid. It was always such fun! Cause my aunt and mother would always take time at making the porridge and then the entire family would sit down at the table and eat. And it's also custom to leave a penny, an almond and a piece of apple in the porridge for luck, fortune and love, but that's another story. I guess leaving a plate out in the snow is something a family with young kids do so kids can see that santa was there in the morning to eat the rice. We were always so excited to see that santa ate all of it :D

Anyway, moving on.
Our santa looks a bit different from the "american" santa indeed.
And he changed his looks during the early 1700 century (1800 in swedish counting) when a lady called Jenny Nyström painted him. Her painting became famous and we often have her paintings as christmas cards even now. He was a bit more modern and looked like a mixture between our homestead gnome and Saint Nicholaus (The german saint) And that's how our santa is even today.

The american santa was actually created by Coca Cola company believe it our not. Pretty cool huh?

Oh and one more thing, in sweden...we don't believe that santa has little elfs like you see in many movies and so on. In swedish folklores he just has those little helpers. Miniature santas :D

Here's some pics of swedish Tomtar :D
